'Rejected' Grapes for White Wine

Aromella, very little growth, with diseased leaves in the first 3 years. Mid-season, zone 4b.

Frontenac Gris, healthy some years but heavily diseased in others. Not very tasty fresh, nor as wine. Mid to late, zone 3b.

Geisenheim 318, unhealthy plant with diseased leaves resulting in lack of ripening. The vine died to ground level during the winter of 2017-2018; but started new shoots in Spring of 2018 which again proved to be unhealthy, therefore, pulled out this vine. Late, zone 5a.

Kay Gray, healthy but fresh grapes have a fair to poor taste on our site. Most say it does not make a good wine. In a warmer climate, they are said to taste better. In our climate, we can do better with other varieties,. Early, zone 2b.

Monastery Muscat, poor growth with diseased leaves, zone 5b

New York Muscat, diseased leaves, delicious grapes but most of them rotted away before ripening, mid-season, zone 6.

Orion,  diseased, stunted growth, mid-season, zone 4.

Osceola Muscat (ES 8-2-43), delicious grapes but most of them get diseased and rot away before ripening,. Early, zone 4a.

Ravat 34, diseased, stunted growth, died over winter, however is said to have good disease-resistance. Tried it in two locations without success. A winery in British Columbia (Zone 6) reports this cultivar has trouble ripening in some years so it probably would not be good for our site. Mid-season, zone 5.

Valvin Muscat, diseased, stunted growth, most leaves died. Requires grafting to be productive; however, I do not want to deal with grafted vines since it is too labor intensive to protect the vines during winter. Mid-season, zone 5b to 6a.

Wild White, healthy large berries but would not ripen on our site. Also, it gets attacked by grape wine borer, guessing mid to late, guessing zone 4.
