Vine Health

The photos below show what I define as "Healthy" and “Unhealthy” vines.

These are examples of purchased one-year-old bare root vines that were planted in our vineyard in the Spring of the previous year prior to taking the photos. The exact dates are shown in the photos. So, what you see here is the growth that takes place in two years. Notice how healthy some vines are, and how unhealthy other vines are.

The purpose of this grape trial, of 122 grape varieties, is to determine which varieties are the healthiest, tastiest and most productive in Southeastern Connecticut under
no-spray conditions.
